Nippers is a great way for children aged five to under 15 years old to become involved in surf lifesaving.
Junior Activities has been operating in Queensland since 1965 and has grown to represent 35% of the total state membership. The Junior Activities program has become one of the most successful children’s development and sporting programs in Australia.
At Pacific SLSC Nippers are on the beach every Sunday morning throughout the season at 8.30am.
Nippers is designed to provide an educational experience in a wide range of subjects and skills within the aquatic environment. All skills covered assist in teaching children basic water safety and also prepares them to become future patrolling members.
As a small family orientated club our program is focused on participation and fun. Activities include surf safety, board paddling, board rescue, beach activities, basic resuscitation and first aid.
The club also actively supports nippers wishing to compete through our training program led by Club Coach Richard Hancock.
We are always looking to welcome new families into our nipper program, find out how to join here.
